The PHYLUM project consists an urban living creature which informs, educates, inspires and creates playful atmosphere into the city scape. It becomes an attractor and a symbol of sustainability through its plant- like appearance. Moreover since it is designed for Dublin it consists a variation of the shamrock flower – linked with the tradition of Ireland. In that context it becomes a recognisable feature and a unique physical landmark of the city. The 6-petal version of the e-PHYLUM physical system (Energy-PHYLUM) is consisted from a skeleton made from hollow metallic tubes, with 6 panels for roof and flooring. The whole structure harvests energy through various technologies embedded into its materials and design, while screens attached on the skeleton demonstrating energy related data of the city and the pavilion itself.
